Take the Screener
Start with a few questions.
This is a free self assessment from Made By Dyslexia, a charity led by dyslexic adults. It asks about how you think and where reading, spelling, and memory get hard. It is written for adults, so parents often take it about themselves first and recognize their own child in the answers.
This self assessment is provided by a third party and is not a diagnosis. Results indicate whether a full evaluation may be worth pursuing. The Dyslexic Difference does not administer, score, or store this assessment, and we do not receive your answers.
Take the free self assessmentThe assessment opens on the Made By Dyslexia website. Come back here when you are finished.
What to do with your results
- 1
Ask your child's school in writing for a screening for characteristics of dyslexia. Alabama law gives parents that right.
